Leaders are shifting priorities to act in foresight and innovate with urgency.
Since March of 2020, we’ve seen a dramatic contrast between the typical pace of organizational change management projects and the immediate need for innovation that has been created by unforeseen conditions of the global pandemic and economic downturn. These initiatives were already urgent; it’s just that they didn’t feel as mission critical as they do now.
In a series of 10 virtual executive round table webinars spanning from May through November of 2020, A2K Partners silent polled leaders from more than 450 companies across every vertical and industry about about the options they were pursuing to position their organization to exit in a better position than before the crisis hit.
The questions evolved from several reports indicating where companies historically applied strategies to innovate during crises and improve their overall position during the last three economic downturns. The four areas successful organizations placed focus on were work redesign, reskilling/upskilling, employee productivity, and process optimization/automation to create options and maximize opportunities to reap wins.
The audiences consisted of Public Sector, SMB, SME and Large Enterprise leaders from Director through C-Level executives across every major functional area (department) of the organization.
